June's Educational Lecture:
Using Positive Behavior Support Strategies to Manage Your Adult/Young Adult's Transitions
An Interactive Workshop Presented by Jennifer Espinoza, BCBA/LBA

Transitions are difficult for everyone, but when you are on the autism spectrum, they may feel overwhelming and debilitating. This training will focus on tools parents can use to manage transitions and increase the success of their adult/young adult with ASD. This training is for parents and loved ones of adults/young adults on the autism spectrum. They are encouraged to bring their adult/young adult with ASD to participate in this relaxed, interactive training.

During the first half, parents/loved ones will participate in an interactive training while participants on the spectrum are engaged in supervised socialization outside of the classroom. During the second half of the training, participants will come together to connect and complete a fun activity while getting 1:1 feedback from the trainer.

Whether your child needs support with a big upcoming transition, such as getting job, or with every-day small transitions, such as turning off the video-games, after practicing these skills and getting direct feedback, you'll walk away from this training feeling confident in the strategies you've learned!

Parents/loved ones may attend on their own.

One registration ($15) per family required.
